We completed a recent project with Network Plus on the behalf of Northern Gas in Penrith.
Our £1.5 million project was the replacement of a IP pipe line to create a new gas network. This was a high risk activity so we needed to ensure the highest levels of safety standards throughout our time on the project. We used a combination of open cut techniques and directional drilling to install a duct from one side of the passage across an 8.5km IP gas main reinforcement. We used torrential technology to make this a straight forward and highly effective process of installation.
The total timing on the project was 8 months, starting in March and completed in November. Since installation, new housing projects in the area will now be ready to go ahead giving Penrith a larger supply of gas.
