JN Civils Ltd is committed to preventing injury and ill health so far as is reasonably practicable whilst meeting our duties under the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all other applicable health and safety legislations and other requirements.

JN Civils is also commitment to provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work related injury and ill health and it’s appropriate to the purpose, size and contents of the organisation and the specific nature of the company’s Occupational Health & Safety risk and opportunities which includes a commitment to consultation and participation of workers.

The key way to achieve this by operating a Health and Safety Management System and be committed with the requirements of ISO45001: 2018.

With regards to meeting our duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act, 1974 and other applicable H&S Legislation and in order to comply with these requirements, we make the following specific commitments:

 

  • Each person deployed will be given information, instruction and training as is necessary to enable the safe performance of work activities.
  • Promote health and safety issues to ensure the company eliminate hazards and minimise OH&S risks by taking effective preventive and protective measures.
  • Encourage all persons deployed to suggest improvements to the OH&S Management system and also encourage feedback.
  • It is the duty of the Managing Director to ensure that all processes and systems of work are designed to take into account of health and safety and are properly supervised at all times.
  • Adequate facilities and arrangements will be maintained to enable persons deployed and their representatives to raise issues of health and safety.
  • Competent people will be appointed to assist us in meeting our statutory duties including, where appropriate, specialists from outside the organisation.
  • Every person deployed must co-operate with us to enable all statutory duties to be complied with. The successful implementation of this policy requires total commitment from all levels of persons deployed, from the Managing Director to the Operatives.
  • Each individual has a legal obligation to take reasonable care for his or her own health and safety, and for the safety of other people who may be affected by his or hers acts or omissions. Full details of the organisation and arrangements for health and safety will be set out in separate documents.
  • The organisation shall provide a framework to set and monitor Occupational Health and Safety objectives.

This policy will be regularly monitored to ensure that the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in light of legislative or the Organisation.

All new persons deployed are issued with a copy of the policy on joining the company. A copy of this Policy shall be made available to interested parties, as appropriate.

A signed copy of the company’s statement is located on the general noticeboards, however can be supplied upon request.
